STAPLES, MN – Are you a local government that is interested in reducing overall costs, energy, and upgrading your public buildings or offering assistance to local businesses to do the same? Come to a free event hosted by the Region 5 Development Commission Forum about the Guaranteed Energy Savings Program (GESP), B3 Energy Benchmarking System (B3), and the Property Assessed Clean Energy program (PACE). GESP is a program administered by the Minnesota Department of Commerce, Division of Energy Resources to finance more efficient equipment and/or renewable energy projects for local governments. The B3 database allows local governments to track energy use in their public buildings. PACE allows property owners to borrow money from newly established municipal financing districts to finance energy efficiency upgrades and renewable energy installations and repay the loan through their property taxes.

Free Event: This event will take place in Staples at the National Joint Powers Alliance, 202 12th Street NE, Staples, MN 56479. This meeting is free and open to the public.
