In January, the city of Grand Marais hired a climate change/Greensteps coordinator, Shane Steele.

Steele is working with a steering committee consisting of City Administrator Mike Roth, Mayor Jay Arrowsmith DeCoux, Public Utilities Commissioner George Wilkes and Nordic Nature Group liaison Olya Wright.

City Administrator Mike Roth tells WTIP that the climate change/Greensteps coordinator position is funded by a two-year grant from the McKnight Foundation.

In this interview, WTIP’s Rhonda Silence visits with Steele about his new position.
